A recent MIUI plugin update causes bootloop problems for some users

After a number of users reported issues with their Xiaomi/Poco/Redmi phones after a system update, the company put out an official statement on X, admitting there is indeed a problem with the latest plugin update. Once installed, the phone may enter into a bootloop cycle and there's no way out unless you perform a factory reset. From what we could gather, the issue affects only MIUI-running smartphones, which is why this happens.
