Canalys: Samsung shipped 53.5 million smartphones in Q2, Apple and Xiaomi are very close

Back in mid-July Canalys released its smartphone market share numbers for the second quarter (April to June). At that time, however, it didn't also publish the actual number of shipments per brand. This has thankfully been remedied today. So now we know that the overall sales reached 288.9 million units, going up 12% compared to Q2 of 2023.
