Apple has released the macOS 14 Sonoma update for all Mac users and the update is now available for download. If you have a Mac compatible with macOS Sonoma, you can now download the major update on your device.


macOS 14 Sonoma is a major macOS release that brings a bunch of new features and improvements to Mac. Some of the most notable features of macOS Sonoma include new screen savers, interactive widgets for the desktop, the ability to access iPhone’s widgets on Mac with Continuity, video calling improvements with features like Presenter Overlay, float over shared screen, react with hands, stay in frame, and more.


In Safari Apple has added new Profiles features, which lets users create profiles like Work and Personal and separate their browsing for each topic. Now users can also create apps out of their favorite websites. Enhanced private browsing is also making its way to the Mac with Safari allowing users to protect their private browsing with Touch ID.


There are also improvements for the Messages app, autofill features for PDFs, PDF support for the Notes app, ability to link related notes, sharing of notes between Notes and Pages apps, enhanced autocorrect feature and inline predictions, new Game Mode, Sensitive content warning, Communication Safety, and much more.


macOS Sonoma is compatible with the following Macs.

  • Mac Pro 2019 or later

  • Mac Studio 2022 or later
  • MacBook Air 2018 or later
  • Mac mini 2018 or later
  • MacBook Pro 2018 or later

If you have a macOS Sonoma compatible Mac, then you can head over to System Settings -> General -> Software Update and download it right now.
